Bill Maher is an Idiot!

Wow, I can't believe that at one point in my life I thought that Bill Maher was mildy amusing. I just watched a few clips on his latest movie "Religulous", and I found out how closely he reminds me of the Anti-Christs of the Book of Mormon.
What makes me laugh is that he thinks that he owns all of these mind blowing concepts about the nature of God, and the corruption of religious devotion. He just uses the same faith destroying points and questions that the devil has been using since the start of this earth.
In his documentary he actually thought that he was taking an unbias view on religion. The guy tries out to make devout religious folk to people brainwashed people with some sort of mental sickness.
I also had the chance to watch an interview between Mike Huckabee and Bill Maher that was very entertaining, if anyone has a chance to watch it.
Anyway, this was a great faith building experience for me. It really helped confirm to me all of the revelations that have been given about the last days. There sure are a lot of false prophets that are rising up to deceive many.
I now really believe that Bill Maher is one of those people.

Song for the Weary

Well, I thought since I've been in a music mood lately, that I'd post another one of my favorite songs. The song is called "Come all ye weary", by Thrice. It is very soothing and relaxing. I've included some videos of the song on my video bar in case anyone wants to check it out. Anyway, here are the lyrics:

Come all you weary with your heavy loads
Lay down your burdens find rest for your souls
Cause my yoke is easy and my burden is kind
I'll take yours upon me and you can take mine

Come all you weary move through the earth
Surrounded by rest stones and kicked out of church
A couple of loaves sit down at my feet
Lend me your ears and break bread with me

Come all you weary
Come gather round near me
Find rest for your souls
(By the rest stones)

Come all you weary, crippled you lay
I'll help you along you can lay down your canes
We've got a long way to go but we'll travel as friends
The lights growing bright further on towards the end

"Song of the Day"

Well, to mix it up a little, I thought that I would post the lyrics to a song that I really like. The song describes a person who feels like the odd man out in church. However, this song hits home with me when it comes to my work, haha.
Just ask my wife, I tend to take music that I like and apply it to situations that I find myself in. It's oddly therapeutic in a sense. I guess I'm just some sort of music nerd at heart. Anyway, the song is called Dearly Beloved, by Bad Religion. Enjoy:

Here's a story of an honest man losing religion,
Climbing the pulpit steps before an eager congregation,
The while praying came a wicked inspiration,
Brothers, sisters this is what he said:

Dearly beloved, dearly beloved, dearly beloved,
I can't relate to you, I can't relate to you!

He was the kind of guy who'd always go right out of his way,
But more before that crazy notion leapt right into his head,
And stubbornly crept into every mad perception,
I can't deny a funny feeling when he said:

Dearly beloved, dearly beloved, dearly beloved,
I can't relate to you, I can't relate to you!

Dearest in memoriam - set phasers to stun
And grab yourself a neighbors' skeleton to lean upon,
Did you know him in life - one filled with regret,
So soon we all forget - we ever met,

Do you know my name - sing a light refrain
For a man estranged - I won't deny that I'm inclined to isolate

Dearly beloved, dearly beloved, dearly beloved,
I can't relate to you, I can't relate to you!
I can't relate to you, I can't relate to you, I can't relate to you!

PR: mov'n on up!

Well, I can't say that I'm not surprised by the obvious wisdom in choosing Sonia Sotomayor as a Supreme Court Judge nominee.

She'll be able to bring balance to all the racial imbalance that plagues illegal immigrants, mostly brought on by the evil white race.

If this isn't obvious sarcasm, I don't know what is! But, honestly, it isn't a big surprise that Obama is more interested in making another PR move, instead of picking the best person for the job.

First off though, I have no problem with a latina judge, etc., I just have a problem with just making things color coordinated, just because. I think that this should be a color blind decision. Hire the best people for the job. If they so happen to all be hispanic, or black, or chinese, or whatever, then that is what we need.

But, let's not just hire or nominate certain people to make our nation "appear" to be more tolerable, or to earn more target votes for the democratic party.

Once again, I am not trying to come off as racist in any way, in fact I abhor racism, but I abhor PR politics even more. We need to stop worrying about making things "even", and we need to focus on who is the best person for a certain job.

Call me crazy, but I just wish that our President would stop acting like he is trying to win votes for American Idol, and be Mr. Popular, and start making the hard decisions that our country so desperately needs right now! Geesh!
